Jack Glen, McDonalds franchise owner in Hamilton has called upon fellow Chamber members to support a local Sportsman�s Dinner in memory of local teenager, Reamonn Gormley.
The evening is aimed to raising funds for the Good child Foundation in Thailand .Proceeds from the evening will go to the charity that is endeavouring to raise �85,000 towards the building of a hall for children with Down�s Syndrome and the employment of a teacher .
Reamonn who was killed after walking home from a watching a football match in February, worked with the Foundation during his gap year. Jack is encouraging members to join him at the event on Saturday 3rd September at the Parkville in Blantyre. Guest speakers will include Scotland Goalkeeper and radio pundit Alan Rough and comedian and impressionist Paul Reid. A prize draw and auction will be held at the evening with a range of signed footballs and strips from Celtic Manchester United Bolton Wanderers etc.
