 Hamilton Town Centre Signage

South Lanarkshire Council has been working with the Hamilton Town Group including Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce to establish a Hamilton Town Centre Pedestrian Signage Strategy.

The aim of the strategy is to improve the flow of pedestrians from car parks and bus/train stations to the town centre as there is at present little signage of this nature.

Key locations to erect sign posts and map boards were identified to provide maximum impact in encouraging people to the town centre.  It was also recognized that local businesses may wish to advertise their business on the map board.

The council, therefore, request that any business that would like to take out an advertisement space, write to Head of Roads and Transportation Services,  Council Offices, Montrose House, 154 Montrose House, Hamilton, ML3 6LB by 18 August 2006.
