Glasgow Crossrail seeks to provide direct rail connection between the lines north of the Clyde and those to the south and south west of Glasgow city centre for local rail services. However, the potential for new services and connections goes beyond the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) local rail network and will enable through journeys to be made across the wider Scottish rail network.
A multidisciplinary team, have been commissioned by SPT to carry out an assessment of the wider regional economic benefits of the Glasgow Crossrail development. A key component of the study process is to understand whether the Glasgow Crossrail development would create benefits for local businesses, for example: * reduced journey times; * more reliable journey times; * improved accessibility for employees; * improved accessibility for suppliers and markets; and * access to a wider labour pool. We would be very grateful if you could complete the online survey which can be accessed through the link below (there is a map and further details on the Crossrail development at the start of the questionnaire).
