East Kilbride based organisation, the Eastlake Group, has appointed Ian Bond as its new Group Financial Controller.
The Group, which underwent an organisational restructure earlier this year, has experienced an extensive period of growth over the last two years including two major acquisitions in Leeds and Belfast. Ian, who will be based out of the groups East Kilbride office, was formerly the finance manager at a multi-million pound medical device manufacturing business. Ian has worked for various large organisations - based in the UK and overseas, from local government organisations to global businesses such as Reebok. In a recent role, Ian headed up the finance for a 1.2bn Glasgow Schools PFI project for a large construction company.
Ian is also a board member of Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce and a Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust mentor. In his role as mentor, Ian provides help and support to young people aged 18-25yrs who are in the process of establishing their own businesses.
Bond commented, Im delighted to be taking up this position within the Eastlake Group at such an exciting time for the business.
Working for a multi-site organisation such as Eastlake, with many contracts overseas, is a challenge I look forward to taking on.
David Eastlake, CEO of the Eastlake Group, said: Im very pleased to be welcoming Ian on board at Eastlake. He will be joining what is already an incredibly focused and dedicated team of people and we look forward to his contributions in taking the business forward.
