LCC & Quarterback Systems shwocase new software which helps SMEs increase profit and turnover

Lanarkshire Chamber and Quarterback Systems showcase new software which helps SMEs increase profit and turnover

Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce members were shown how to maximise margins and increase turnover yesterday ( 22nd August), through the implementation of a highly affordable new business control software being showcased at Coatbridge.

At the software demonstration, hosted by Quarterback Systems in conjunction with the Lanarkshire Chamber, Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) learned how Clyde Valley Drilling, an early pioneer of the new iQ software, has increased its turnover by more than 1 million in the first year of using iQ.

iQ is particularly beneficial for small companies (up to 100 employees) whose operations hinge on the effective and efficient management of people, equipment and vehicles, for example construction companies, specialist sub-contractors, contract cleaners and plant hire firms, among others.

Through an electronic whiteboard, described by Clyde Valley Drilling MD Owen Barrett as the heart and lungs of the system, SME managers can have a complete control room type view of their operations, and all kinds of information at their fingertips, all for the cost of a second hand transit van.

Barrett explains: Critically iQ helps you understand the true cost of every job, so you can decide which kinds of jobs you want to go for to be profitable in future, and which ones you want to leave behind.

When used in conjunction with a tracking system, it also allows you to ensure that vehicles and equipment are used in the way you intended, and that staff perform to their full potential, maximising profit and minimising damage and loss.

Through the use of iQ, which has so far resulted in direct cost savings of 200K to Clyde Valley Drilling, the company has dramatically reduced the time it takes to schedule and reschedule jobs and communicate with workers, freeing up time for business development.

They have also improved their cashflow through being able to get their monthly invoices out 14 days earlier than previously.

Quarterback Systems is currently running a subsidised case study programme for interested parties. If you are an SME business owner/manager needing to gain the maximum profit from your people, vehicles and equipment, visit www.qbsiq.com or contact Craig Robertson at Quarterback Systems on 0845 450 0937, or e-mail [email protected].
