The past few years has seen Clyde Valley Housing Association embark on a cultural revolution that has seen it acquire a more business centred approach to everything that it does.
Their business culture is rooted in service excellence and as well as holding Customer Service Excellence Accreditation, their focus on their people assets has seen them listed as the top RSL in Scotland to work for, on the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies List (UK) for the past 2 years, securing both 5th and 15th place as well as being only RSL in Scotland to obtain Best Companies 3 Star Accreditation, demonstrating exceptional performance.
To ensure that the Association continues to deliver at a high standard requires a strong Board, with a wide range of skills and experience. CVHA are presently seeking a new non-executive board member to help plan and realise their ambitions.
As a charitable trustee, you will play a central role in guiding the strategies and visions of the organisation. This role will be as challenging as it is rewarding, and whilst a voluntary unpaid position, you will be offered the training and support youll need to contribute to the organisations future successes.
CHVA has recently undertaken a skills audit and have identified a requirement for a new board member with skills or interests in accounting, investments, financial and business planning.
Ideally you should be able to demonstrate skills including:
- The ability to challenge constructively and influence decision making within a Board setting.
- The ability to analyse complex issues.
- The ability to weigh up conflicting views and reach your own decisions.
In return you will be able to:
- Use skills you already have to benefit the wider community.
- Learn new skills to broaden your experience.
- Network with a range of like-minded people.
- Be part of and help shape the future of a top Scottish housing association.
